Live Arrival & Warranty Policy

At White Fish Reef, we care about the health and well-being of every fish we ship. While we take every precaution to ensure your new addition arrives healthy, we also understand that unexpected losses may occur. Our warranty policy is designed to give you peace of mind while ensuring proper care standards are met.

Return Policy

Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 48 hours of receiving your order.

  • Returned items must be in their original condition.

Local Pickup Orders

  • Returns for locally picked-up orders are free of charge.

  • Customers may choose to:

    • Replace the item with another of the same value, OR

    • Apply the value of the returned item as store credit toward a more expensive purchase.

Shipped Orders

  • In the event of a return for shipped orders, the customer is responsible for covering the return shipping costs.

  • Once the item is received and inspected, we will issue a replacement, store credit, or refund (excluding original shipping costs).

Warranty Conditions

To qualify for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

  1. Proper Tank Lid

    • A secure lid must be in place on your aquarium. Acceptable lids include glass, netting, or plastic covers.

  2. Photo Documentation

    • Clear photos of the deceased fish must be provided, showing both the front and back of the fish.

    • A measuring tape must be visible alongside the fish in the photos.

  3. No Visible Injury

    • Fish must not show signs of aggression, nipping, or injury caused by other tank inhabitants.

  4. Proof of Setup (if requested)

    • In cases of repeat warranty claims, we may require additional proof of a proper aquarium setup to ensure the health and safety of future livestock.

Warranty Coverage

If your claim meets the above conditions:

  • We will ship a replacement fish at no additional cost, depending on availability.

  • These are living animals that deserve the highest standard of care. We expect all customers to provide safe, healthy environments for their livestock.

  • Our goal is to support you as a hobbyist—we understand that sometimes things happen, and we want you to know we have your back.
